First off, CWS is still looking for Color and Background Artists so please look here to make my life easier and get an internship =D
Second, I'm on a HUGE Tales kick and its not even for the ones I'm playing right now ._.; I swore up and down I wasn't going to do another lj rp but Ad Libitum looks kind of entertaining and they seem to have pretty exacting standards. AND both Zelos and Anise aren't taken. Neither is Guy. Do not know if want!
Portfolio site needs up this week then I send out resumes and such to companies. Nervous~ but excited. I want a job so I can get the hell on up out of my parent's house. Apartment want ;_;

SO
I may have mentioned previously that I have an internship at a game company. We're currently making a few things, but personally I'm working on a dating sim and we're DESPERATELY in need of a background artist and a color artist so I thought I'd ask my artist friends here.
If ANY of you are at ALL interested, here's a bit of information:
- The game does have sexual scenes and yes you will be coloring them if you want to be a color artist.
- The position is unpaid but has the possibility of becoming paid if the game takes off. However, it is considered an official internship (there's paperwork and everything) and can be used for college credit or resume/portfolio work.
- All business is conducted over the internet. That is, images are sent around via upload to a wiki or email, meetings are held over skype, and all other communication is via AIM or forums. It's all very convenient and requires absolutely no travel on your part.
If anyone here is interested, please contact me and I'll put you in touch with my boss... just as soon as I get AIM working again so I can find his SN ><;

Ok, so, have yet to hear back from silverxplayer about a room for YCon so I'm still not sure if I'm going. Which sucks 'cause I wanna get started on Mia. Yes, Mia from Phoenix Wright. I'm excited. I dunno what else to bring though, any suggestions? I dunno what else everyone's doing and I like to group <3 ( Here's my active costume list )
Second, I got recruited for an internship at CWS Software and I'm working on an exciting project <3 I'm not sure what else I can say under the non-disclosure agreement but I find it funny that I've tried to get the "anime" out of my art for so long and now they want me to draw as super shiny big-eyed anime as possible. It's awesome.
Third, who knows where to get gray vinyl or pleather in several different shades? I'll bake cookies for someone who can point me in the right direction.

Just got back from Anime Destiny and even though I didn't get to leave my swap meet table all day it was made of fun and WIN! Met a lot of cool people, made some money (byebye ticket <3), and got to hang out with the awesome that is Li, Rhi, Shahni, and Soo. Chinese foods is delicious. So are blonde-turned-Hetalia jokes, rofl.
Speaking of Hetalia, anyone doing Hetalia Day in SF? It intrigues me. It's super close to Y-con though, so who knows.
And on Y-con, Rhi and/or Li, if you could remind me who needed a roomie I would appreciate it.

Back from SiliCon which didn't turn out as I planned but way better instead =P
The con itself was waaaaaaaaay smaller than I'd ever seen it. Even the panels only got a max of, like, 5 people generally. But, as always, I had much fun just hanging out, mostly with Dr. Noe, antieden, and praedestinatio. Ello and Hitori were dressed as characters from The Looking Glass Wars which I now wanna read. I tagged along with them to meet laragoth and her significant other (I'm pretty sure?) and for ziggybecket to take their pics. Dispite having no good place to shoot, I'd say the pics came out famously. Take a look!
I ended up staying at Hitori's house that night and we had fun times then and the next day just hanging out and going to look at fabrics and things for our ongoing projects (I got the dress/robe fabric for my Seraphim costume and now I know they have the buttons at JoAnne's if there's a problem with the interweb order). All in all, one of the best weekends I've had lately <3
This is also a SALE POST! I'll be selling a TON of anime/manga/scifi/etc junk at Anime Destiny this weekend, but I'm letting you guys have a preview of what's going to be there. If anyone wants pictures of stuff please let me know. If you're sure you want something, I can hold it for you until I see you next or ship it if you're willing to pay shipping. I need to get rid of it, but I'd much rather it go to good homes. Ask for prices or make an offer, either way.

So it's been 2 weeks since Davey left and I'm not sure how I'm doing. I'm still functioning, I guess. I've been talking to people, I've been going out, but I still feel like there's a hole and I dunno if or when that's going to go away. (Imagine that being said in a matter of fact voice, not a complaining whine.)
SiliCon this weekend. Not sure what costumes I'm going to wear. Probably Kaylee and something else. Maybe sith Harley but that feels weird to wear without a matching sith Joker. Damn me and my penchant for pair costumes. Maybe I'll just do Rose Tyler instead, who knows. I never got pics of that costume.
Oh, I also went to see CalShakes' Midsummer Night's Dream last night. It was very good, 'scept the weird Disney Channel-esque closing dance number (yeah, dance number, wat?). My mom liked the ending, I don't think it fit how they performed the rest of the show. Eh. To each their own I guess.
Ok, I should stop procrastinating and go paint.
EDIT: Forgot to add that I got Left 4 Dead today on Steam. It's only $15 right now so if you don't already have it and want it for the PC, I don't see it getting any cheaper. Also, saw Across the Universe last night. Wonderful film, Taymor really is a master of visuals. I love the recontextualizing of a lot of the songs too and though the covers weren't the best, they worked for the movie really well.
