Oh Torchwood. That's all I have to say or I'll spoil.
Has anyone else wanted to do a Doctor Who shoot at Ren. Faire? Because boy do I ever! (HINTHINT)
I'm gonna go sleep now or I won't be sewing tomorrow =B
EDIT:( I forgot, have some design pics of what I'm working on for SacAnime )

I haven't posted in awhile so I feel like I should.
RL - Class is good. I was supposed to start my Photoshop class yesterday morning but after we went over what we were learning, I spoke with the teacher and she said I should be in the intermediate class so I swapped to that instead. Score, I feel cool 'cause I self taught myself the basics of Photoshop. Maya is almost over, tomorrow through Thursday are the last four classes and we're making an animation of the Spider-Man model we made and rigged the last couple weeks. I'm pretty happy with mine for the most part. I might reskin his head, I dunno. Akido is fun, not much else to say there. Boy's thinking of getting a summer job to have some monies. I feel bad he has to do it, but honestly I'm glad he's going that route instead of just going back to Spain. The thought scares me.
Cosplay - Have a couple commissions, wewt. Benjamin of the Twilight Knights (the head of the Bushido department at Fanime) is going to have me make him a jedi costume for his convention presentations, which is exciting. I also have some of the fabric picked out for the Jedi-Batman skit and I need to get rolling on that as soon as I can, but I can't start working on it until after next weekend since my Grandparents are coming so we'll need the dining room table which is usually my sewing table. Plus I don't want to give my mother an aneuisem by having fabric strings all over the house while we have company and she wants it clean ^^; I have 'til the end of August, anyway.
Warcraft - I didn't post about it, but Boy and I switched guilds to one that's a little more organized (and the guild median age is other) with later raid times. 10pm server is 7pm for us and that suits us much better than the 4:30 pst raid times of our old guild. And we're in Ulduar now =D It's really super fun and all the guildies are ridiculously funny and good guys. Well, mostly guys. I think there's only like... one other girl in the guild, but whatever. It's the internet, the girl to guy ratio is incredibly low. We're having some issues on Auriya but I'm sure we'll pull through eventually. Go Vestige!
Last note, gratz to everyone who has or will be graduating this week. You made it! /cheer
Later dudes, gotta clean house.

Still coping but spending time with boy is really helping. I'm sort of throwing myself into the things I normally like to do to try and deal, and with school starting tomorrow I should be distracted enough I wont, like... lie around depressed.
I have a few projects I want to work on as far as costuming. Star Wars Batman, as I mentioned previously. I have designs for the four costumes and since they're tunics and cloaks they're fairly simple, though I'll be making custom pants for the first time for two of these. I don't normally sew pants; I usually find it easier to buy them at thrift stores. Those need to be done by August in time for SacAnime. I know, Star Wars/Batman at SacAnime is weird, but we don't know what's up in September for the SciFi/Horror con and SacCon in June is way too soon.
My other two projects are my pirate getup for Faire (which I just found a nifty way of doing fake but real-looking tooled leather for. God I love craft foam) and my World of Warcraft tier 5 priest costumes. The T5 priest was going to be for BlizzCon but since I couldn't get tickets, I'll be making it for something in future, not sure what. I just really want to make it. Still, that one is a long term project and I don't have a deadline for it so that probably means it wont be getting even started any time soon. We'll see.
Also, I was introduced to Munchkin last night. Amazing. I love that game. Everyone should play it.
Boy wants me on WoW now so I'm gonna close this entry. (Speaking of, right quick, finally got my t5 shoulders in game. A year too late, but I don't care. I wear them when I'm in Dalaran anyway)

So Fanime was awesomesauce but I have to confess that I have completely given up on any real con reports. I don't like doing them. It was funtimes seeing you all though, and I really wish I had gotten more time with peoples. I need to start doing the hotel thing again instead of commuting. Blah. Oh, and I decided I may have some armor in my future >.> Huzzuh for inspiring panels!
So anyway, boy and I came up with some epicness at Fanime. We told a few people and got pretty much the reaction we expected ("bwah?" mostly) but we decided to go through with it at the next con we could get to (possibly a Sacramento somethingorother con. There's so many up there now... Likely the next SacAnime but only if I don't get BlizzCon tix tomorrow, since they're both the end of August and BlizzCon > SacAnime.)
So by now I'm sure you're wondering what the heck I'm talking about.
Now hear me out on this.
Star Wars Batman.
Yes.
We have a group, we have a start on the choreography, and I'll be posting costume designs for a lark as soon as I can get back to my scanner. Eehehehe~
On a less fun note, my summer classes start Monday. Poo.

Anise = DONE. COMPLETELY. My Tokunaga is a little tall but whatever. So proud of this thing ;_; Greece = Owned my wig, it looks a little better now, if scruffy. But he looks scruffy anyway so hey. Can't find a Greek flag though >< I looked. I ebayed one but it probably won't get here in time. Sigh. France = Uhh... I bought a flag? lol. Starting and hopefully finishing that today. Just need to make the coat since the belt, pants, and boots are taken care of and no wig is needed (lulz, boy looks like France) Jedi (me) = Last minute repairs are needed but they will be done, like... the morning before I wear it because I have other shit to do! Jedi (Davey) = Done, has been done, needs nothing. Thank the costume bunnies x.x
FANIME, I will rock you this year!!

Giants game tonight was awesome <3 Now back to your regularly scheduled sweatshop.
I got my Anise wig a couple days ago, but there's a problem... I like the pigtails fine even though they're built in, but the back of the wig has hair that's down and I'm kinda stumped on what to do with it. It comes to just above the shoulders and is totally inaccurate for Anise, but if I try and brush it up into the pigtails, you can see the wefts. Any wig people have suggestions? I'd love you forever.
Other costuming news, Vault Dwellers scrapped due to time and cost (and how ridiculously difficult it is to find a damn jumpsuit that people will actually SHIP by a certain date. grrar), but boy's special original Sith (deisgned by Moi) will be ready for him to do a trial run at SuperCon in San Jose this weekend. I hope he has fun; I'll be chained to my computer trying to get BlizzCon tickets. Decided to opt out of the fighting game gathering because I have to commute and Friday is usually a short day for me so I dunno if boy and I are gonna stick around 'til 6 unless we're still playing with Hetalia peeps. Anise I WILL get done if it kills me, Greece has been done 'scept fixing the wig which is happening tomorrow morning, and France for boy is still up in the air but if I can't get it done in time, we decided to shove him in French flag boxers and he'll run around with a rose in his teeth for the lulz. Still need to get the flags for Hetalia... Boswell's trip this weekend, methinks. Anyone need their country?
( Fanime Scheduling Revised )
I'm happy at my way less hectic schedule this year. One costume a day? This is almost unheard of for me, hehe.

Mandie singing |
] |
Wow, I seriously fail at consistant updates.
In Kansas right now visiting Mandie, so that's funtimes. We're playing Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World which is nowhere NEAR as awesome as the original. But we saw Zelos last night, so I'm not complaining all that much. Main character is a putz, but whatever.
Costume list for Fanime is totally tentative, especially since I need to make two somewhat professional grade Star Trek costumes for the contest at the SF Giants game on the 27th so I can't really think about Fanime quite yet. Boy and I are participating and I'm excited~ I think we're gonna just do TNG era uniforms but that could change. Who knows? Either way, I wanna do a medical officer uniform for me and boy can be a commanding officer or something. If anyone has any better ideas that might win the contest (we're being judged on accuracy) feel free to speak up. Also, I don't get back from KS until next Tuesday (21st), so I can't go fabric shopping until Wednesday at least, so simple is key x.x; Six day costume sweatshop!
As for Fanime...
( Here's the tentative list, which currently lacks dates and times because I am a lazy ho and don't wanna look them up )
I miss boy =/

Blah, haven't updated in 2 weeks. I suck.
I have a bit of a goodie today though. Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles Trailer
Looks pretty much like a rail shooter remake of RE2 for the Wii. I like the idea, kinda. I thought rail shooters were dead on the consoles until the Wii came around and of course anything with Leon makes me a happy camper. One more reason I need a Wii... (tax rebate, sup?)
On a Resident Evil kick this past week actually. Was unable to buy RE5, but the Boy and I rented it and have been plowing through it. I think we're more than halfway through now and ee! I'm loving the co-op. Davey uses Chris as the tank armed with a machine gun and a shotgun while I pick off things from afar with my sniper rifle. It works pretty well, as I'm an epic sniper and he's...uh...Rambo. Lol.
As for other stuff, trying to get a dummy portfolio done for the GDC next week. I have no idea how much I should put in it but I did narrow down my millions of art pieces to under a hundred. Not that that's a LOT of progress, but it's something. I'm trying to make it varied as I can, since different companies look for different things and I want a bit of everything in there so if I get a call back from a company I left one with (in my DREAMS), they can say they want to see more of this or that. This is way harder than I thought...
Ok, time to catch up on House and How I Met Your Mother, then shower and actually DO something! Later peeps~

So WonderCon is now officially on my "don't skip ever" list for cons <3 I had entirely too much fun. This could have been influanced by meeting Jim Lee (my inspiration and comic art GOD) and Adam Baldwin (Jayne, the man they call Jaaaayne~). It's also the first con where I didn't look at the panel list and just go "yawn". The events were actually really interesting. Gogo seeing new Terminator: Salvation trailer before the public sees it on Friday with Watchmen. The only disappointment was not being able to see Mark Hammill. $100 is very steep. I really have this burning need to tell him he's still my favorite Joker in spite of Heath Ledger's amazing performance in the most recent film. I still hear Hammill's voice from the Animated Series when I read Batman comics with Joker in them.
Anyway, needless to say, this weekend was awesometastic and I came back with quite a haul for not too too much monies. I've got about 2/3 of the run of Harley Quinn now, which is awesome because I love her, an issue of Batman from the Hush arc with Harley on the cover drawn and signed by Jim Lee (this is going in a frame on my wall <3), two issues of Catwoman with Harley in them, a random $1 manga of Kamichama Karin Chu which is by Koge Donbo so love there, Marvel Zombies, and two trades of Astonishing X-men written by none other than Joss Whedon. Also, Watchmen button (yes, THAT one). Phat loots, guys.
Lastly, may be joining the Rebel Legion. Not sure, but some amazingly nice people were at the booth and we were talking and such. Boy is interested to further his fight choreography. I don't see why I can't be interested to further my costuming experience with Star Wars stuff <3 More for fun, honestly, but if anyone can help me figure out how to make latex lekku for my Twi'lek jedi, it'd be someone from there.
Anyway, I'm exhausted x.x; bed for me, as there's a busy week coming up. Going to LA with Davey on Wednesday to go down and see Dan and do a midnight show of Watchmen. Dan's the one who introduced Boy and I to the comic, so it seems fitting to see the movie with him. I just wish I'd had the female!Comedian costume idea earlier...not enough time/money >.x Ah well.
Nightnight!
